Our coffee is a high quality blend of robusta and arabica beans which are sourced from Dak Lak and Lam Dong provinces. Dak Lak is famous for producing the world’s best robusta which is grown in the Buon Ma Tuot region at altitudes of between 800m – 1,000m. Lam Dong province is well-known for its exceptionally high quality arabica beans which are grown at altitudes of over 1,800m. Many of the coffee plantations in Lam Dong go right back to French colonial Indochina.
Our coffee is roasted in the traditional Vietnamese style with an 80%/20% robusta/arabica ratio. The high quality robusta provides potent caffeine content and body and the arabica aroma and acidity. Our House blend has an intense, smokey flavour offering notes of hazelnut and cocoa. The Sua blend is smooth and buttery offering notes of chocolate and vanilla.
To experience this coffee at its absolute best we recommend using a traditional Vietnamese “phin” filter (available here). However you can still enjoy a delicious cup of Vietnamese coffee when made through a french press, cafetiere, mocha pot or the ever popular aeropress.
